Stuff
We are back from our whirl-wind trip to Arizona. Big Guy still doesn't understand the importance of leaving early....but luckily, we didn't miss any flights and had a great trip. We should find out today if we got a house!
Before we left on Friday, I received a frantic call from my daughter-in-law Deena - Jeremiah was missing! Q was already at Deena's house, and I was there 20 minutes later. Your heart just starts beating overtime - thinking of all the horrible, horrible things that happen to children (I really need to quit reading those types of books!). I made myself drive slow - trying to calm down, because no one needs two hysterical females in one house. Deena told me the door to J's room was locked, and the window open. Long story short, J had run away. He slept outside with one skinny blanket. It frosted that night. J had taken Myriah's cell phone, and through a series of texted messages, we discovered he was by Home Depot. Q took off like a rocket and picked him up. All is well - J walked in the door and said "running away s**ks!!".
Kay is still really, really sick, they don't know what's wrong with her. She sounds like I did when I would have my bronchitis - asthma attacks. We are looking for a temp to fill in for her - we are three weeks out from our big fundraiser.
BGF Glenda helps out as an independent contractor during this time also. She is having a tough time with the situation with our friend and co-worker. But we can only do what we can do, there's not much left we can do for him now, just pray. That's all for now - love to all - Mo

Brain Flush! Living Wreath! What's a Presbyterian?
I think I need a brain flush..... I woke up at 3:30 this morning worrying about Kay, my friend and assistant at work. She is so ill with a lung infection, I was really afraid she would die. Then a telephone call from out of the blue from a long-time friend who is very ill. Life makes me sad, life makes me mad, but life happens whether we are ready or not.
Sometimes a girl just needs a good brain flush - too bad I can't go out and garden! That works for me! Instead I will just clean house - back to Phoenix (can you spell SUN and WARM, and put them in the same sentence? in the same county?) Thank you Big Guy - it's the little things that make a relationship special, you know!
After looking at hundreds of houses over the last few weeks, Big Guy and I have a list of about 30 - don't know if we can see them all in one day, but guaranteed, we are making a list and checking it twice! The houses are selling very quick down there, so it's hard to pick a house you like until the week you are leaving...even then, no guarantee it's not sold by the time you go south.
And my living wreath came out quite nice - see!

The picture isn't very good, but the colors, textures and contrast is very nice. This one is for the auction at work, then I'll make one for myself!
I had a funny experience at church school 101- a class you have to take to see if you want to join the Presbyterian church here. The pastor asked if anyone felt guilty taking communion - I said YES! I'm a former Catholic! All I could think was "mortal sin - that's it for you baby!" No offense to my sister, but the Catholic Church scared me! Ok, didn't scare me straight, but any former Catholic knows what I mean! It's kind of like "what's a nice Catholic girl like you doing in a Presbyterian Church? Don't tell Father John!!"
Love to all - Mo
ps - Kate gets the doggies - don't forget!

Spring is Coming in like a freight train....
Finally, I can say spring is here! In my little valley it seems we have our own climate - later than everyone else! Ok, not in the whole world, but you know what I mean!Spring is my absolutely favorite season - I find myself running outside to see what plants, trees, shrubs survived the winter. This winter was lonnnnggg.....
I have over 30 roses to prune - but I think I lost a few. That's ok, I bought a few more! Big Guy has been helping with cleanup - we still get lots of tumbleweeds here, so we burned them off Friday night. It was funny seeing BG in his nice work clothes with a pitchfork! Gotta love that guy....
I planted T's flowers in the front bed, and gave a bunch to Lexi. Unfortunately, I gave her all the Columbine, so I have to go swap with her.
I'm anxious to see my new Iris I planted last fall - heck, anything green!
I'm doing the corn-product thing on my lawn - I bought 40 pounds last fall, so I think I'll have enough to do the whole acre. It is like casseron, only no chemicals. I like that, because we are on well water here.
I think we are off to Phoenix again next weekend. We didn't get either house we bid on, one was bid up $11K, the other one they had accepted an offer on previous to ours.
That's ok, I found about 20 more. It will be a quick trip, flying into Phoenix Friday evening, looking at 30+ houses Saturday, making multiple offers because of the market, and flying home on Sunday morning. Quite the jet-setter I am! Bless the Big Guy - he's like what??? I told him - baby - if you snooze, you lose!
We are celebrating Easter with - corned beef! We missed Saint Paddy's Day, and I have a new recipe I'm itching to try out. Thanks for everything - I sure love my sisters! Love to all - Mo
